4orm celebrate the legacy of David and Pat Whittaker with a new version of What A Wonderful World.
David and Pat where two of the founding members of Flixton Juniors, a Grassroots Football Club, in the very early seventies. The Club has grown form strength to strength culminating in being awardred Grassroots Club of the Year 2022 in Manchester.
Imagine the number of players that may have played for the over the past half a century. Imagine the coaches and managers, and club officials. Imagine their parents and family members who had to support their footballing activities. It is easy to see that Flixton Juniors has played a part in the lives of tens of thousands of people.
Consider the grassroots clubs the club has played, the leagues, the football associations, councils, facilities providers, sponsors, businesses and traders that have helped and supported the Club over the years, then it is easy to see that the wider community linked with the Club past and present is reaching into the hundreds of thousands of people.
This is the amazing legacy of Flixton Juniors, and is shared by every Grassroots club in their wider communities.
David Whittaker's favourite song was Louis Armstrong's version of What A Wonderful World. We hope he would have liked our version.
The featured vocalist is Charlotte Jobling.
